Getting Started on SushiSwap

Welcome back, Utopians!

Right before the holidays, we debuted the UOP-ETH pair on SushiSwap with an incentivized liquidity pool, which allowed UOP holders the option of earning 415% APY in SUSHI rewards for participating as a liquidity provider.

In the past few days, we’ve been working closely with the SushiSwap community to add UOP-ETH SLP staking to the decentralized exchange’s Onsen, the newly announced liquidity mining incentivization program that was formerly known as “Menu of the Week”.

Today, we’re delighted to announce to launch of UOP-ETH SLP staking on SushiSwap’s Onsen!

Below, we have put together a set of quick instructions to help our fellow Utopians get started.

How to Access UOP

1. Go to SushiSwap.fi
2. Connect wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect)
3. Select ‘Swap’
4. Choose base asset (ETH) and UOP (select ‘SushiSwap Menu’ when prompted for which list to reference)
5. Input ETH amount to swap for UOP
6. Accept fees and submit transaction

How to Add Liquidity on SushiSwap

Utopians can earn SUSHI rewards for providing liquidity to the pool. Here is how to get started:

1. Go to SushiSwap.fi
2. Connect your wallet
3. Swap ETH for WETH
4. Switch to + Liquidity tab
5. Select WETH + UOP Pair
6. Enter the amount you want to contribute in WETH and UOP
7. Select “Add Liquidity”
8. Accept fees and submit transaction

Once the transaction is complete, you should receive an SLP token, which can be farmed in the UOP Party Boat on SushiSwap.

How to Stake SLP Tokens on SushiSwap

Utopians can earn even more SUSHI rewards for staking SLP (Sushi Liquidity Provider) tokens in the Onsen farming pools.

One third (1/3) of each LP’s share of a pools’ rewards can be harvested at any time and the remaining 2/3 can be harvested 6 months from the time LPs or the pool began earning rewards.

To stake your new UOP — ETH SLP token to earn additional rewards,

1. Go to SushiSwap.fi
2. Connect your wallet
3. Select the “Stake” tab
4. Find the UOP — ETH SLP farm
5. Stake SLP token in UOP — ETH SLP farm
6. Accept fees and submit transaction

In order to pay gas fees, you will need a small amount of Ether (ETH) tokens in this wallet. These gas fees are used towards interactions with the incentives smart contract (deposits and withdrawals of LP tokens and rewards). As the gas fee for interacting with SushiSwap is dependent on the Ethereum network, the amount of ETH is subject to change. For each transaction, you may need to adjust the gas fee that you pay.
