5th Virtual Utopia Tour on December 16, 2020 — Featuring Carl Cox

The Utopia Genesis Foundation is sponsoring another exciting virtual tour! Those tuning in will be able to enjoy music from the legendary artist, Carl Cox, who is well known for his innovative and entertaining persona in house, techno, tech house, and minimal techno.

More About DJ Carl Cox

Just about everyone who loves the dance music scene will recognize Carl Cox. He has been active in the music industry since the 1980’s and is recognized as one of the legends of the dance music industry. He is also credited for being a major influence on the British rave scene throughout the late 80’s, 90’s, and beyond.

He was one of the earliest ‘celebrity DJs’ in the world, who helped spread the love and emotion of dance and techno music to millions of fans. Over the years he has had a number of major hits and significant performances:

· He played the Millennium on New Year’s Eve 1999 in Sydney, Australia. Then flew over the International Date Line to play a second NYE event in Hawaii.

· He was a global resident DJ on Essential Mix, which aired on BBC Radio from 1998–1999.

· He formed Intec Records. This label helped a large number of great underground artists become mainstream.

· He was named the global ambassador of Ultra Music Festival’s techno and house music concept in 2017.

· He has performed annual shows for years including the Carl Cox & Friends arena show at Ultra Music Festival since 2004.

As live music events have been stagnant in 2020, Utopia Genesis Foundation is using innovative strategies to bring artists and fans of music together. With fans all over the world, this virtual tour is going to be a great opportunity for people to enjoy his music.

The first two virtual events included panel discussions focused specifically on the music industry and how technology would impact the industry in the coming years. The third event was a live showcase featuring a performance by award winning DJ, Fedde Le Grand, followed by a fourth event which was a performance by Grammy nominated, Meduza.
